The Adventure Begins Here...

In 1999, Kevin Keith along with Lester Miller, a prominent US businessman formed Newcastle Marine, Inc. Their goal was to create a company dedicated to building high quality, ocean-going motoryachts.

Their first mission was to find a suitable location. An existing shipyard in Palm Coast, Florida was purchased and completely rebuilt. A new six story construction building, slipway/bulkheading, and a 1,000-ton marine railway system capable of hauling and launching up to 200 feet in length are among the many improvements to the facility.

Intrigued by the growing worldwide demand for "Expedition" type yachts, it was decided Newcastle's first build would be the "Newcastle Explorer". This 102' Expedition Yacht was extremely well received at the 2001 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and subsequently sold one month after the show. "Newcastle Explorer" has since been around the world several times and gained much notoriety by surviving the Tsunami and rescuing many of the waves survivors.

The 125' "Newcastle Voyager" debuted at the Miami International Boat Show in February 2003. Over the next two years "Newcastle Voyager" toured the worlds oceans doing 30,000 nautical miles before being sold to her present owner. The 137' "True North" Newcastle's latest launch, also debuted at the Miami International Boat Show in 2007. "True North" is now on her way to conquer the worlds oceans.

In 2006 Newcastle Shipyards LLC was formed by combining the talents of Keith Marine established in 1978 by Kevin's father. Keith Marine is famous for the casino and dinner-boat vessels it has produced and the family's first yacht "Contico" now "Blue Star" This 147' yacht has been around the world, on her own bottom, four times. The Newcastle Marine and Keith Marine combination brings with it two large facilities with the ability to build yachts up to 200 feet in length in the United States.
